CLASS RULES

 

 

1. Be on time.  When the bell rings you must be in your seat ready to work.

 

2. Be courteous.  Do not interrupt others when they are talking nor do anything to disrupt the learning process.

 

3. Stay in your seat until the bell rings.

 

4. Do not use profanity or offensive language in the classroom.

 

5. Be fully present in the classroom.  Take off hats, head coverings, dark glasses, and headphones.

 

6. Take care of personal business before or after class, including phone calls, going to the restroom, your locker or to the drinking fountain.

 

 

CLASS POLICIES

 

1. Do not eat in the classroom.

 

2. Bring your book to class every day along with paper and pencil.  Borrow before the class begins.

 

3. If you are absent check with the teacher for missing assignments or look on the class website.  For each day you are absent you are allowed an equal amount of days to do make up work.

 

4. Personal questions regarding your grade or make up work will be answered before or after class.

 

 

GRADING

 

1. Points will be assigned for all work done.  An A will be 90 percent of the total possible points.  B is 80 percent, C is 70 percent, D is 60 percent and F is below 60 percent.

 

2. Grades will be based on the following elements:

 

· Oral Participation              15%

· Quizzes and Tests             50%

· Projects                               10%

· Homework & Notebook   15%

· Final Exam                          10%

 

3. A notebook is kept and then turned in at the end of each quarter.  It will be worth 30 points and contains the following items:

 

· Homework and Class Exercises

· Vocabulary Words

· Handout Sheets

· Class Notes
